But switching between the two inputs takes a little long on my TV and sometimes I am not fast enough switching to the other input where the confirmation window for nVidia would appear. Obviously I don't always want to have two displays because Windows very frequently gets confused on where to put a window (I totally hate it, too). The tricky part is handling those two desktops from inside nVidia control panel. The second cable goes into HDMI 3 (in my case since that one was still available). In my case, I have one HDMI cable going to my soundbar which in turn is connected to TV HDMI 1. My advice is: watch TC Concenity's videos, then get yourself a second HDMI cable and hook it up to either a second monitor OR (as I do) to a TV nearby.

Needless to say, this is currently a hot pile of garbage, and I don't see Epic reacting to this at all. The only way to get any functionality back is to actually move the mouse around a little. Also, at that point, the menu becomes unusable. In addition, pressing the map button brings up the map, but using the stick to move the pointer around does NOT work and the cursor kinda flickers and flicks around wildly because it wants to move (clearly) but always snaps back to the position it thinks the mouse is currently on. The controller still works, but all the prompts are still stuck on KBM.

The prompts completely got stuck on KBM prompts even after closing the menu.

At that point, pressing the map button also stayed on Xbox prompts and did NOT revert to KBM prompts.

The UI finally stuck to Xbox only which was clearly visible while spamming the menu button and the prompts in the bottom right corner NOT switching to KBM prompts.And I eventually had one of two outcomes: Ok, with that said, I spammed the menu button so hard while simultaneously flicking one of the sticks (I believe it was the right stick). Opening the map completely looses the Xbox UI and goes back to KBM prompts until you move the left stick. Then when you close the menu the UI is back to Xbox. But they also immediately disappear because the menu is now over those prompts. While spamming the menu button to show and hide the menu repeatedly, you can clearly see that as soon as it displays the menu, the UI switches to keyboard as all of a sudden, key prompts appear. I pretty much spammed the menu button and also the map button. I played around with Battle Lab today so I don't get bothered by other players and could take my time.

This started after a windows update and a fortnite update. For now, XCOM 2 will only run on Steam Controller and the old-fashioned way: mouse and keyboard.This is what I got in an email but it hasnt helped at all. Firaxis stated to IGN in the past that gamepad support is in the works, but a text-heavy interface makes it less than ideal for the moment.
